Sarah J. Maas Just Announced A New Fantasy Book Series — For Adults

This novel is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast, which is why I was so interested in it in the first place because I love reading different, modern versions of classics. A Court of Thorns and Roses follows the story of Feyre who is a huntress and how her life changes when she is impisoned in the kingdom of her enemy, much to her shock and despair. Firstly I would like to talk about the characters. And also, Feyre is a capable and independant individual, yet not as extreme as Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games, which is another thing I really loved about this book. The fact that Feyre is also timid and innocent but not a complete damsel in distress.
